My full name is Faezeh Tabatabaeimanesh, but you can call me Fay. I studied design with focus on Biodesign and sustainability at Syracuse University. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Bionic Architecture. Prior to my studies at SU, I worked in the field of bionic architecture and natural structures modeling. During and subsequent to my studies, I have been engaged in various architectural activities including interior architecture, facade design, furniture design and the fabrication of decorative panels. In my recent work, I have undertaken projects that leverage my graphic design, Immersive design, and Interactive design skills.
As part of my graduate studies, my research was based in the field of Biodesign which is the practice of using living organisms such as bacteria to create innovative and sustainable materials and products. I was also exploring how this research can be extended to the field of fashion design to work with biomaterials to produce fabrics that adapt to the user and are completely biodegradable.
Research, design and create innovative and sustainable materials and products
Graphic design, Web and app design, HTML and CSS, Wireframing & Prototyping
UX/UI desgin, AR and VR, Wireframing & Prototyping
Planning and design of buildings, Interior architecture, Facade design, 3D model and rendering
As a graduate student, I am working on an interdisciplinary project with a biodesign approach between the Department of Chemistry and Design at Syracuse University. The purpose of this project is production a biofabric that is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and at the same time has the ability to be converted directly into a wearable garment. This material is made of protein.
I have experience of several projects related to interactive design and immersive design in my resume. Designing an app called Foody that is a game app for children and also Easy Draw that is a app to help user to paint easily, using AR technology are among these projects.
During this period, I worked on designing and making furniture from second-hand, unusable and old stuff. Design and production of several chairs and lightngs are among these works. On the other hand, during this period of time, I was one of the founders of Voxel Company, which was related to the design and production of decorative panels.
During this period of time, I took various design and implementation projects related to plan design, interior architecture, facade design, etc. One of the most important examples of these projects was the design of the Hadad house and the Two-piece house, which is a very valuable experience in the field of architecture for me.
It was a pleasure to work with Faezeh. She has a passionate and creative personality with great teamwork capabilities and her innovative ideas and UI design skills elevated our project.
I had a project to design a logo and branding for my office and collaboration with Faezeh was a great experience. She is very creative, punctual and an expert in graphic software.
Having Faeze as a member of our team, carrying over the responsibility of interior design, was so rewarding to all of us. Her motivated spirit alongside her creativity capabilities improved our final result in a way that could not be replaced by any other designer.
